Planned Giving
Planned gifts are sometimes referred to as “stop-and-think” gifts because they require planning and may require help from your professional advisor. Unlike cash donations, they are typically made from assets in your estate rather than disposable income and come to fruition upon your passing.
There are several ways to make a planned gift:
- Giving through your will or trust offers a way to support BGCI’s mission for generations while meeting your current financial needs.
- Income gifts allow you to make a gift and receive income back for you or a loved one. There are several ways to accomplish this tailored to your personal goals.
- Other creative gift plans provide opportunities to transfer ownership of your home, farm or other treasured asset to ensure your dream of helping Indy youth is met.
The 1893 Legacy Society
In 1893, a group of average people saw a problem and decided to do something about it. They banded together to serve youth who desperately need their help. Their generosity was the genesis of what we know today as Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis.
In honor of these conscientious citizens, BGCI created the 1893 Legacy Society. The Society is open to anyone who makes Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis a beneficiary of their wills or trusts, establish a charitable gift annuity, or donate through other types of planned gifts. These special gifts serve future generations of Indianapolis youth and help to strengthen BGCI for years to come.
If leaving a legacy and making a lasting difference is important to you, we heartily invite you become a member of the 1893 Legacy Society.
We welcome the opportunity to have a confidential conversation with you – with no obligation on your part. If you would like more information or would like to discuss options, please contact: Candace Pate, Director of Marketing & Development at cpate@bgcindy.org.
If you have already included BGCI in your estate plans, we would appreciate the opportunity to thank you for your generosity and to give you the peace of mind that your intentions are carried out properly. Please contact us.
