Arron (“Tech”) entered the Boys & Girls Club at 16 through a court-ordered community service program and three years of house arrest. Initially withdrawn and skeptical, especially given his prior record, he found an unexpected home where meaningful friendships replaced his old high school connections. His transformation was so profound that the Club offered him employment, first as game room staff and then as a mentor to teens. Now, Tech believes “one mistake doesn’t define who a kid really is” and treasures having become a role model who values youth success “more than money.”
