Games Room Coordinator

9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday available hours

Description

The Games Room Coordinator will plan and lead fun, educational, structured and age-appropriate activities in the games room for children ages 5-18. Provide positive guidance and discipline for youth in assigned program areas. Oversee games room area supplies and equipment (request additional supplies when needed, request equipment maintenance when needed), clean program area room daily (pick up trash, organize supplies, etc). Accurately track participation of members in programs as well as program outcomes and enthusiastically complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to plan, lead and implement program activities. Significant experience working with children ages 5-18, especially leading group activities preferred. Ability to serve as a role model for members at the Club required. Basic computer skills and comprehension of Microsoft Office necessary. Individual must be able to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively.

Youth Development Professional

2:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Friday available hours
25-30 hrs/week

Description

Under the supervision of the Unit Director and Program Director, The Youth Development Professional will be responsible for the development and implementation of Boys & Girls Club core program areas. This includes, but is not limited to leading Boys& Girls Club special group activities, develop weekly lesson plans attend field trips, assist area coordinators with daily programming.

Qualifications

Ability to plan, lead and implement program activities. Significant experience working with children ages 5-18, especially leading educational activities preferred. Ability to serve as a role model for members at the Club required. Basic computer skills and comprehension of Microsoft Office is necessary. Individual must be able to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively. Individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Education degree or related course work preferred.

Learning Center Coordinator

3:00 pm -7:00pm Monday- Friday available hours

Description

The Learning Center Coordinator will plan and implement daily educational activity sessions as well as fun, educational, structured and age-appropriate activities for children ages 5-18. In coordination with the Education Director plan and carry out effective and appropriate incentive programs to encourage children to participate in Indiana Kids Programming and supervise groups of children during Power Hour. The learning Center Coordinator will also supervise individual and/or groups of volunteer tutors during Power Hour. Ensure that volunteers are appropriately assigned to children who need tutoring help. Ensure that volunteers engaged and productive and follow applicable BGCI volunteer practices and procedures. Provide positive guidance and discipline for youth in assigned program areas. Oversee Learning Center supplies and equipment (request additional supplies when needed, request equipment maintenance when needed), clean program area room daily (pick up trash, organize supplies, etc). Accurately track participation of members in programs as well as program outcomes and enthusiastically complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Significant experience working with children ages 5-18 required. Degree or significant experience in youth development preferred. Ability to serve as a role model for members at the Club required. Basic computer skills and comprehension of Microsoft Office is necessary. Individual must be able to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively.

Recreation Coordinator

The Recreation Coordinator will plan and lead fun, educational, structured and age-appropriate physical activities and encourage healthy lifestyles for children ages 5-18. Recreation coordinator will also provide positive guidance and discipline for youth in assigned program areas. Oversee gym equipment (request additional supplies when needed, request equipment maintenance when needed), clean outdoor area room daily (pick up trash, organize supplies, etc). Accurately track participation of members in programs as well as program outcomes and enthusiastically complete other duties as assigned.

Life Guard/ Swim Instructor

Description

Under the direction of the Unit Director and Program Director, the Lifeguard will plan and supervise all Club swimming activities (for children ages 5-18).Plan and supervise swimming activities for children ages 5-18 that are safe, fun, educational, structured, and ability/age appropriate.

Qualifications

American Red Cross (ARC) certification as a lifeguard.
Education degree or significant experience working with children ages 5-18.
Ability to serve as a role model for Club members.

Membership Desk Coordinator

Summer Programing (May 29th-July 20th)
9:00am -6:00pm Monday- Friday
25-30 hours per week

Description

The Membership Desk has the opportunity to work with youth and young adults in an after school setting. Individual will be the first to greet all members (youth ages 6-18, approximately 120 per day) and visitors, manage member information, and communicate with staff, kids, and parents on a daily basis. Additionally, individual will manage, organize, and schedule all student volunteers (average 12 per week). Volunteer management additionally includes all site orientations and tutor-training.

Qualifications

Individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic computer skills and comprehension of Microsoft Office required. Previous youth work experience preferred. Individual must be able to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively. Creative design also preferred.
