The Evening Reporting Center (ERC) program at Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis is an alternative to detention program in partnership with the Marion County Juvenile Court. The program serves 12-18 year old, moderate to high-risk juvenile offenders currently on community release. Youth in the program report to a club nearest to where they live for 4 hours every evening, Monday-Friday.
Major responsibilities include: transporting ERC youth to and from home (vehicle/gas provided), deliver weekly programming (curriculum provided), manage day to day behavioral issues and general logistics, etc.
Most of youth in the program are young men from high crime areas throughout the city. The ideal candidate would be able to relate to them; whether that be through creative programming or similar life experiences; or both!
